Follow the link above to watch an interview with Sweet Justice about their invitation to Nationals.

Also, Central (aka the Barefoot Bandits) wants a rematch, so that will be taking place Tuesday night at Memorial.  Bring your game face.

SJ got off to a slow start Saturday morning, having some trouble gaining momentum against Wichita East, but was able to show a noble effort, losing 10-13.  They rebounded quickly with a 13-3 win against Junction City.  They put up a good fight against The Dark Side, the number one seed from Arkansas, losing 7-13, but managed to end the day 2-2 after beating the high-spiritied Manhattan 13-4.  Ending the first day in the third seed, they were right where they started.

After getting some rest at their high-class Super 8 Motel, though, they came out kicking Sunday morning, beating Wichita East 15-8, with an impressive 7-1 shutout in the second half.  Making it to the championship round, they again went up against The Dark Side, and their fatigue started showing as DS scored point after point.  The game ended 4-15, but Sweet Justice was more than thrilled to finish second to a nationally-ranked team.  And how did they celebrate taking second at the High School Ultimate Championship in Kansas?  By dining at none other than Waffle House!

Thanks to Midland Lutheran College for hosting us out at their campus for a scrimmage last week.  Sweet Justice came on top 19-17 but it was a very close game!  The Warriors put up quite a fight the whole time.

Only two practice left until Chicago.  If you are going, be at practice, end of story.

CHI CITY! 02/28/2010

We are confirmed for the Chicago Invite!  The coordinators have made arrangements for a 21st team to accommodate us.  This tournament is March 20-21 (http://www.chicagoinvite.com/) in Oak Brook, IL (right outside the windy city).  If you are planning on going, make sure you are signed up for the UPA and get your number to Sean.  GET PUMPED!

Thanks to everyone who attended today's 1st annual Snowmaha Hat Tournament!  It was a huge success and really helped with fundraising for the rest of our year.  We had about 50 people on four teams and played 3 games through the snow and cold with Double Team reigning victorious.  Our "Player of the Day" awards went to Colin Baer and Gazzelliot Hanson while Ben Fraizer received the "Youngest Player" trophy.  Also a special thanks to all who helped shoveling on Saturday and who donated food to keep us nourished.  Look for an article about the tournament in the Omaha World Herald over the next few days, and check out some photos in the "Media" section!

Sweet Justice will be scrimmaging UNO tomorrow, Wednesday December 1st at 4PM on the WHS baseball field.  If you're on the team and you were at practice yesterday, be there at 3:30 for warmups.  Regardless of whether you'll be there, wear your orange jerseys to school!

If you aren't on the team, come cheer us on!

The UPA currently ranks Sweet Justice as #1 in the Youth Open score predictions!

LOCATION CHANGE! 10/26/2009

As of today, Monday, October 26th, practice will take place on the main field at WHS on both Monday and Wednesday after school.  If for some reason we can't use the field, we will relocate to the baseball field.
IMPORTANT - Bring necessary materials to school on practice days.  It's extremely annoying to have to wait for people to run home to get their shorts or their cleats (cough cough sean cough cough).

Welcome! 10/23/2009

This site is dedicated to Westside High School's Ultimate team, Sweet Justice.  We practice Mondays and Wednesdays and travel to tournaments whenever we can.
